Francis Walter Priest was born October 18, 1902 in Harrodsburg, Mercer County, Kentucky the son of James Walter Priest and Mabel E. Fisher. He married Olivine Adelaide Erickson about 1928 in New York City and they had a son, Francis Walter Jr. He was employed as a typesetter in New York and then moved to Chicago where he was employed by the Chicago Tribune as a typesetter for 39 years. He affiliated with Euclid Lodge from Lakeside Lodge No. 739, Chicago, Illinois and served as Master of Euclid Lodge in 1983. He was also a member of Euclid Chapter No. 13, Royal Arch Masons and served as High Priest in 1980, 1983 and 1984. He died August 4, 1989 in the Illinois Masonic Home, Sullivan, Moultrie County, Illinois, and was buried in the Illinois Masonic Home Cemetery. |
