George McCambridge Jr. was born August 9, 1929 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois the son of George McCambridge Sr. and Arielle Kleinhammer. He married Gloria Braun and they had six children, Nancy, Susan, Cheryl, Caryl, Pamela and George III.

He was employed by Dreis and Krump Manufacturing in Chicago as a tooling engineer for 21 years, then by All Steel Manufacturing in Aurora for 15 years, retiring in 1991.

He affiliated with Euclid Lodge November 22, 1982 from Evergreen Park Lodge No. 1171, Evergreen Park, Illinois and served as Master of Euclid Lodge in 1987 and 1988. He was also a member of Euclid Chapter No. 13, Royal Arch Masons and Aurora Commandery No. 22, Knights Templar.

He died November 12, 1999 in Naperville, DuPage County, Illinois. Masonic Funeral services were performed by members of Euclid Lodge.
