Clifford Harold Blatchley Jr. was born July 15, 1922 in Warren, Warren County, Pennsylvania the son of Clifford Harold Blatchley Sr. and Grace Fritz-Willenbucker. He married Betty J. ? May 30, 1944 and they had three children, Chuck, David and Deborah.

He was a High School teacher in the Downers Grove School District, teaching chemistry and physics. He served with the 80th Division, 317th Infantry Regiments 7 & 93 Battalion in the European theater, seeing action after the Normandy landing, at Bastogne, and in the Battle of the Bulge.

He affiliated and became a dual member with Euclid Lodge January 7, 1992. He served as Master of Euclid Lodge in 1998.

He died October 3, 2007 in Denver, County, Colorado and was buried in the Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, Colorado.
