Herman William Sievert was born February 22, 1889 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois the son of Joseph F. Sievert and Carolina Lena Graupmann. He married Lillian E. Krueger about 1913 and they had three children, Myriel, Theodore Joseph and William. He first went to work as a stock clerk, then as a clerk for the Chicago, Rhode Island and Pacific Railroad. He retired from the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad where he also worked as a clerk. He was raised a Master Mason March 17, 1921 in Euclid Lodge and served as Master of the Lodge in 1932. He was also a member of Euclid Chapter No. 13, Royal Arch Masons. He died March 27, 1953 in Naperville, DuPage County, Illinois and was buried in the Naperville Cemetery. |
