Herman Charles Hageman was born May 8, 1884 in Naperville, DuPage County, Illinois the son of Charles Hageman and Fredericka Miller. He married Lillian Rebecca Kroehler June 22, 1910 and they had five children, Ruth, Virginia, Grace, George and Albert. He was educated by the Naperville schools. At the age of fourteen went to work at the Naperville Lounge Factory. He became an electrician there and worked there until his death except for a few months when he went to work for the Western United Gas Company in Downers Grove. He ran unsuccessfully for Naperville Village Alderman. He was raised a Master Mason April 12, 1922 in Euclid Lodge and served as Master of the Lodge in 1927 and again in 1930. He was also a member of Euclid Chapter No. 13, Royal Arch Masons, Aurora Commandery No. 22 and the Shrine. He died November 10, 1944 in Naperville, DuPage County, Illinois and was buried in the Naperville Cemetery. |
