Charles D. Faust was born September 28, 1870 in Ashland, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, the son of Moses Faust and Sarah Zartman. He married Cecelia Margaret Dusch in Pennsylvania, and from this union they had two children, Hazel (Mrs. Norman Gieske) and Madge (Mrs. Ralph Kendall). Charles arrived from Pennsylvania around the turn of the century, locating first in Chicago, and then shortly afterward moving to Naperville. He worked as a house painter while in Pennsylvania and then as a Watchmaker/Jeweler in Naperville. He was raised a Master Mason August 12, 1907 in Euclid Lodge. He also served Euclid Lodge as Master in 1912. He was a member of Euclid Chapter No. 13, R. A.M. and served as High Priest in 1919. He died June 16, 1937, in Naperville, DuPage County, Illinois and was buried in the Naperville Cemetery. A Masonic Funeral was conducted with the pall bearers being Eli Stark PM, Allen Mowry PM, John Eisele PM, Mark Pickell, Arthur Goodge PM, and Joseph Lindblad PM. |
