Mark Aldridge Naper was born September, 1837 in Naperville, Cook County, Illinois the son of Joseph Naper and Almeda Landon. He served in Company B of the 105th Illinois Infantry during the Civil War. He married Charlotte E. Hubbard August 20, 1867 in Naperville and from this union they had a daughter, Martha Elizabeth. He worked as a miller and later opened and operated a jewelry store. He served as a Naperville Village Trustee in 1878. He was raised a Master Mason February 19, 1859 in Euclid Lodge and served as Master of the Lodge in 1869 and 1870. He was also a member of Euclid Chapter No. 13, Royal Arch Masons. He died February 13, 1884 in Naperville, DuPage County, Illinois and was buried in the Naperville Cemetery. |
