Olney Arthur Waterman was born April 19, 1870 in Hudson, Lenawee County, Michigan the son of William Waterman and Emiline Hunt. He married Nettie M. Asherton December 1894 in Hudson and they were the parents of three children, Frederick, Lewis and Edna. He was a teacher and served as Superintendent of the Naperville Schools for 18 years from 1909 to 1927 during which time he was the Secretary of the Illinois State Teachers Association. He also served on the Nichols Library Board. He affiliated with Euclid Lodge March 7, 1911 from Portland Lodge No. 31 , Portland, Michigan. He was also a member of Euclid Chapter No. 13, Royal Arch Masons and served as High Priest in 1921. He died June 20, 1929 in Aurora, Kane County, Illinois and was buried in the Naperville Cemetery.
