HAIGHT, Charles Daniel was born January 18, 1819 in Aurora, Cayuga County, New York the son of Daniel Haight and Ruth Mosher. He married Esther C. Skinner January 28, 1841 in New York. From this union four children were born, Ida, Elizabeth, Emma and Milton Skinner. He was a merchant. He served in Company I of the 2nd Illinois Light Artillery during the Civil War. He affiliated with Euclid Lodge June 26, 1855 from Scipio Lodge No. 110, Aurora, New York. He served Euclid Lodge as Senior Warden in 1857 and 1866, as Treasurer in 1858 and 1859 and as Junior Steward in 1861. He was also a member of Euclid Chapter No. 13, Royal Arch Masons and served as High Priest in 1860. He died December 29, 1868 in Naperville, DuPage County, Illinois and was buried in the Naperville Cemetery.
