Howard Alfred Larson was born April 8, 1908 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois the son of Charles August Larson and Anna Maria Bignal. He married Alberta M. Phillips October 24, 1930 and they had three children, Janet, Joan and James.

He was employed by the A.T. & T. Corporation.

He was a member of Arboretum Lodge No. 1175 in Lisle, DuPage County, Illinois and served as Master of the Lodge in 1981.

He died October 29, 1988 and was buried in the Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery, Oak Brook Terrace, DuPage County, Illinois.
