Frederick Samuel Atmore was born February 8, 1922 in Evanston, Cook County, Illinois the son of Samuel and Celia Atmore. He married Elizabeth J. Clarke and they had one son, Richard Frederick.

He served in the 96th Division of the U. S. Army during World War II and was a member of VFW Judd Kendal Post No. 3873. He was an equipment engineer for A.T. & T. for 36 years.

He affiliated February 15, 1977 from United Lodge No. 927, Park Ridge, Illinois. He was Master of Euclid Lodge in 1979. He was also a past master of Good Fellowship Lodge No. 1034. He was a member of the chorus of DuPage, SPEBSQSA; member and head usher of Naperville Congregational Church; and a member of the Naperville Fork and Knife Club. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and active in the Naperville Humane Society.

He died September 2, 1985 in Naperville, DuPage County, Illinois and was buried in the Naperville Cemetery.
