DONALD G. ZAININGER

Donald George Zaininger was born February 6, 1911 in Naperville, Dupage County, Illinois the son of John Samuel Zaininger and Lydia Amelia Kroehler. He attended the Naperville Schools and graduated from Naperville Community High School in 1928. He married LeEtta Mattie Rodesiler and they had four children, Donald R., Christie Ann, Lucille Nancy and Roger Lee.

He was employed by the Kroehler Furniture Manufacturing Company from 1928 until 1977, retiring as supervisor of the cost department. He was active in his church, the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Naperville, the Moose Lodge, the Naperville Cemetery Board and also volunteered at the Naperville Settlement.

He was raised a Master Mason March 10, 1945 in Euclid Lodge and served as Master of the Lodge in 1949, the Centennial year.

He died August 17, 2005 in Naperville, DuPage County, Illinois and was buried in the Naperville Cemetery.
