Franklin Naper Perry was born February 9, 1879 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, the son of Charles R. Perry and Edna Matilda Turner. He married Emeline Dell Brossman June 8, 1905, and from this union they had three children, Florence, Naomi and Virginia.

Early on he was employed by the Naperville Lounge Factory (Kroehler Mfg. Co.) and then moved to Detroit and was employed as a Machinist and later as a Foreman for the Ford Motor Company.

He was raised a Master Mason April 7, 1903 in Euclid Lodge and served as Master of the Lodge in 1910. He also served Euclid Lodge as Senior Warden in 1909. He was a member of Euclid Chapter No. 13, Royal Arch Masons.

He died September 22, 1961, in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan and was buried in Detroit.
