Roy Henry Murdock was born October 25, 1896 in Columbus, Columbia County, Wisconsin the son of James H. Murdock and Melissa Sadie Hulett. He married Ruby Caroline Kruempel December 16, 1919 and they had one daughter.

He was employed by the Kroehler Furniture Manufacturing Company as a cabinet maker and also owned and operated the East Side grocery store.

He was raised a Master Mason April 5, 1927 in Euclid Lodge and served as Master of the Lodge in 1937.

He died March 22, 1964 in Aurora, Kane County, Illinois and was buried in the Naperville Cemetery.
