Charles Dean Perry Sr. was born February 20, 1906 in Naperville, DuPage County, Illinois the son of Edward Lester Perry and Minnie Amelia Enck. He married Jean Marie Haight and they were the parents of four children, Thomas Edward, Charles Dean Jr., Russell Franklin and Jean Ann. He first worked as an auto mechanic in his father's garage and later operated the business. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U. S. Army and was a member of American Legion Post 43 of Naperville. He was raised a Master Mason June 18, 1946. He was also a member of Euclid Chapter No. 13 Royal Arch Masons and served as High Priest in 1947. He died May 3, 1977 in Plainfield, Will County, Illinois and was buried in the Naperville Cemetery.
